Sounds like it was a great week, Kevin. We also had a great week of exploring writing a bit more traditionally over at the other strand of SummerWrite! I was amazingly impressed by our group's ability to reflect on each others' writing and respond in such articulate and insightful ways. Looking forward to the ezine you help create with all our SummerWrite! creations.

Ann
Only a few of the kids had done stopmotion movies before the camp, but I tried hard to show them the tools and then get out of the way and let them proceed to experiment and play and figure a lot of things out. The teachers and I hovered nearby, gave some pointers here and there, got updates and then let them go.

I took a look at the Animoto and the Claymation Camp site, too. It looks like everyone was enjoying the project. It also looks like your toy chest was hit hard for the class: Legos, Playmobil, and others were everywhere. Had many of the participants tried stop motion on the own before coming to your class?

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like fun. Too bad about the age limit and the faraway locale.
