Tina
I would love to see the movies you are doing (the little X means that MM can't find the source video file).
I think putting the student work on the school site is a great idea.

Gail
Thanks for your comments and support. I saw you peek in one day and I was rushing around and could not really say hello. I did feel more like a coach than the teacher, and that felt good.

Franki
I hope my own reflections help you think about the possibilities. Let me know if I can help.

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for this informative, inspiring post. My students are 12 weeks into our moviemaking project and we are on "draft 3" of revision. It's been an amazing (sometimes frustrating) experience, trying to figure out MovieMaker with no experts in the room (Why do those bloody red X's appear in the boxes where there use to be photos????) My juniors and seniors have loved this work and they continue to be engaged. I suggested that we might lobby to have it put on our school website and they were thrilled. They really DO want an audience! I intend to show them the projects your students accomplished. Cheers and a Happy Thanksgiving! ~T-Dawg

Thanks for sharing this. Great work--I can't imagine the patience it takes! Looking forward to your next 2 posts on the topic. I'd love to know the time investment to think about whether it is possible in my role.

That was quite an involved project and explains why a person watching you from the doorway only saw a blur of the superhero dashing from group to group. Won't be trying this in K but my 8 yo nephew and I will have lots of fun with his lego collection.
Happy Thanksgiving
