Billy Collins at the National Writing Project

Here is a video of Billy Collins, former US Poet Laureate, addressing the National Writing Project in November. He started about by telling us that the sight of so many teachers of writing in one place “is enough to throw the fear of God into any seventh grader.”

You can read more about his talk at the NWP site.
Peace (in the fun),
Kevin

  1. Thanks for bringing my attention to this, Kevin.
I had to leave early from his talk to do an NCTE thing, so I missed the last 15 minutes.
He really has a marvelous way of reading his poems. The delivery is so understated — he had me laughing more than I expected, too. I felt like I was at a rock concert and was a Billy groupie.
    Good times.
