(This is for the Slice of Life challenge, hosted by Two Writing Teachers. We write on Tuesdays about the small moments in the larger perspective … or is that the larger perspective in the smaller moments? You write, too.)
It’s youth baseball season again, and although only one of my three boys is playing ball, one is better than none (one of the three is at college and the other now is on the high school track team).
Duke and I enjoy sitting, watching, cheering.
Peace (around the bases),
Kevin
What a loyal fan Duke is to watch his brother play baseball!
He prefers sunny days so he can stretch on the grass
I can picture this — largely because you shared this fun picture. The angle of the shot makes me want to say, “Duke, buddy, the game’s the other way.” I figure he’s looking at the game that matters, though, or something else of comparable value.
Looks like a perfect afternoon, watching your son play baseball with your loyal buddy!
Yep, and the first of many this Spring into Summer (the boy even hit a two-run, two-out double to tie the game up)
Duke looks like a perfect companion! It’s always great to have Man’s best friend by your side.
He is a good watcher …. and sleeper … sort of sleepy watcher …
