(For this month’s Slice of Life Challenge with Two Writing Teachers, I am aiming to do Six Word Slices most days, with some extended slices on other days.)
Context: Last night was our annual gathering of the Neighborhood to celebrate with a Winter Blues Party, full of food and raffles and laughter. A new subdivision off the main neighborhood in recent years has really expanded the number of neighbors, and babies!
Peace (in the hood),
Kevin
I have followed your neighborhood gatherings and envy the community you have there. I hope winter ends soon for you there!
I love this idea, especially the blues and raffles part. We have four new neighbors on our block and this would be a fun way to get to know people.
What a marvelous idea, this winter party! Your six word Slice reads like a newspaper heading; “details at six”!
I love this idea. I think this is a much bigger challenge than blogging for 31 days straight. You have communicated much in just a few words. I might have to try this myself.
Great idea! Your comments on other posts have been entertaining too. Thanks for sharing how your mind works.
This sounds like such fun. I think we’re all ready for spring. Almost there!
I love the idea of a six word slice. I think I may need to take that challenge on sometime this month. Great post!
Our neighborhood has 4 houses turning over right now. Today it was a buzz with new connections being formed. But I love it here on my little street in the ‘burbs.
Six word slices and your neighborhood sound fantastic! I’ll definitely give it a try this month.
I am always learning from you. I love your idea of 6 word slices. I am going to add this idea to my Pinterest board of Slice ideas. Breaking winter’s hold…sounds heavenly! We’ve gotten a little taste of spring, but winter will be back this week in Ohio.
