(This is for the Slice of Life challenge, hosted by Two Writing Teachers. We write on Tuesdays about the small moments in the larger perspective … or is that the larger perspective in the smaller moments? You write, too.)
Last week, for my Slice of Life post, I shared out and mentioned a sketching vacation that I was on for the week. I did sketch, every single day, and now I have gathered up the sketches into a sort of video portfolio via Animoto. (I like the hanging hooks element of this particular video theme). This sketch collection includes a few sketches that I did during the week but didn’t share out, for reasons mostly due to dissatisfaction on my part.
Peace (and love to those in Manchester right now),
Awesome! Awesome sketches, and awesome idea for a sketching vacation! And – I agree, I like those hanging hooks! I tried to do #sketch50 this year… and go to day 45 before life took over. Your post is inspiring me to just sit and do the last few sketches that I was supposed to do! 🙂
Five more! I hope you do it!
What a cool way to express yourself!
We had an “art break” at our librarians’ meeting yesterday, courtesy of our library services director and an awesome teacher. I think it’s good to explore the visual on a regular basis, especially when we focus so much on text in our daily lives.
Thanks for sharing your sketches with us!
This is so cool! Thank you for sharing!
I love the presentation and your style, Kevin. I just bought a new sketch journal a la Emily Dickinson’s poems & challenges. It will be fun to try some here at the beginning of nature’s blooming. Glad you had a wonderful sketching week!
Fun to see how you presented this. I have gotten away from my sketching so as summer comes in I will get back to it. Thanks
You continue to inspire.
I think my favorite one was the musical notes – there is so much metaphor there.
You are inspiring me! I took an email sketching course several years ago… and loved it. I am determined to do some this summer. Thanks for sharing.
